Lucknow: A major reshuffle has been made in UP Police. Three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been transferred in Uttar Pradesh. ADG Ashok Kumar Singh has been removed after the riot of women contract workers in dial 112 service. Now the responsibility of Dial 112 has been assigned to Neera Rawat.

At the same time, DG Sahkarita Anand Kumar again came back in active policing. Anand Kumar has been made DG of Crime Investigation Department.
This comes after the Uttar Pradesh government transferred nine IPS officers, including the Kanpur Police Commissioner and the Additional Director General of Agra Zone, in the month of August. Commissioner of the Kanpur Police Commissionerate BP Jogdand was made the ADG of the Women and Child Protection Organization and ADG of Agra zone Rajeev Krishna was given the charge of the ADG of the Vigilance Establishment.
The Additional Director General (ADG) of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the state police has also been transferred. Anupam Kulshrestha, who was the ADG of Traffic and Road Safety and Women and Child Security Wing (1090), was made the ADG of Agra zone. The ADG of the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board RK Swarnakar was made the Commissioner of Police of Kanpur City.
