Lucknow: Three people were arrested in the case of allegedly cutting the throat of a person and separating his head from the torso in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh. The accused were identified as Suraj, Ankur and Lalit.
They were friends of the victim and had invited him to his rented residence for a party on Sunday night. An argument broke out between Pradeep and his friends, which later escalated to such an extent that the three accused cut Pradeep’s throat.
The Victim identified as Pradeep. He was 30-year-old, a resident of Pahalwanpurwa in Kannauj, had invited his friends over. Friends threw his’s body outside the farm house of former Samajwadi Party MLA Rajeshwar Singh from Eta. His dead body was thrown on the road leading from Ganga Bairaj to Bithur.
While throwing the dead body, Pradeep’s head was crushed with bricks. When the security guard of the adjacent farm house saw the incident, he informed the Nawabganj police station. Based on the information given to the police by the security guard, the three accused were arrested.
During the prime interrogation, all three told that they had committed the murder over a dispute while intoxicated. A case of murder has been registered against all three. His clothes were stained with blood.
Akmal Khan, ACP Colonelganj said,”The incident happened between 3 and 4 in the night. The clothes and hands of the three arrested murderers were stained with blood. There was blood on the e-rickshaw as well. The forensic team has collected evidence from the spot. All three are being interrogated.”
According to police, one person was arrested on the spot, while the other two fled. Later the remaining two accused were also caught. The official said that the family members of the deceased have left for Kanpur from Kannauj and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
