15 people including 5 children were buried under the fall of the lenter of the house under construction. When the people were evacuated, their condition remained critical. The police launched a rescue operation with the help of local citizens. The injured have been admitted to hospital. Where Kuldeep Dharmendra Sunita and Rajpal died.
Bulandshahr: A painful accident took place on Wednesday morning in Mawai, Narsena police station area. 15 people including six children of the same family got buried due to the falling linter of the house under construction. The couple along with their two sons died in this. 11 people were injured. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital. The DM has talked about providing financial help of Rs 4 lakh each to the people who died and repairing the house.
The house of Rajpal’s son Harcharan Singh, resident of Mawai village of Narsena police station area, was being constructed. The old lenter was cast on the first floor of the house and the second floor was being constructed. On Tuesday evening, lenter was put over three rooms on the second floor.
After putting the lantern late at night, 15 members of the family slept on the ground floor of the house on a cot. At around 3 am on Wednesday morning, the lenter put on the second floor fell on the roof of the first floor. Due to which the lenter of the first floor also fell and the sleeping family was buried under the debris.
As soon as the information was received, SDM Arvind Kumar Singh, CO Bhaskar Kumar Mishra and the rescue team of the surrounding area reached the spot. Rescue operation is being carried out with the help of villagers. All the family members have been taken out. Rajpal and his wife Sunita, sons Dharmendra and Kuldeep died due to being buried under the debris. DM Chandraprakash Singh reached the spot and there is talk of providing financial help of Rs 4 lakh each to the people who died and repairing the house.
