Uttar Pradesh: On Saturday morning, official said that four women were killed and 24 people were injured after truck hit a tractor-trolley parked on the roadside in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh. After receiving information about this incident local police reached on the spot.
Officials said that they all in the trolley who were returning after attending a naming ceremony when this mishap took place. After reaching on the spot the police have sent all the injured to the hospital for treatment.
The police said that the deceased identified as Phoolmati, Ramakant, Sanjay Devi, who were sitting in the trolley, died on the spot, while 24 people were injured. The police took the injured women Draupadi to the hospital where Devi died.
About this incident, Mainpuri Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar said,” A truck hit a tractor parked on the road. In the accident, 3 women died on the spot and 1 woman died during treatment. 23 people were injured out of which 11 were brought to the district hospital for treatment. Some people had minor injuries. Further investigation is underway.”
