Lucknow: On Tuesday morning, A horrific road accident happened in Muzaffarnagar. Six people died after a car collided with a truck in Muzaffarnagar of Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place at Rampur intersection (NH-58) in Chhapar police station area at around 4 am.
According to the information, the victims, who were from Delhi, were travelling to Haridwar when the incident occurred. After getting the information about the incident, the police team immediately reached the spot and took the dead bodies out of the car and sent them for post-mortem. At the same time, informed about the accident to their families.
An official said that there were six people in the car including the driver, who died. In a statement, police said, “The car was badly damaged in the accident and the police had to use cranes to retrieve it. The victims had already died when they were brought out. Still we took them to the hospital where doctors declared them dead.”
At the same time, the police reached the spot and with the help of a crane, the car was removed from under the truck. An official said that the victims were residents of Shahdara in Delhi and their families have been informed.
He also said that there is a curve where the accident occurred and it seems the car was travelling at high speed and lost control. He added the injured were immediately rushed to the hospital, where the doctors declared all of them brought dead. The police are now investigating the case.
