The Uttar Pradesh unit of the BJP will hold a meeting to give the final shape regarding the upcoming civic body polls.
Lucknow: The BJP has been gearing up for the upcoming municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh. The state unit of the party doesn’t like to leave any stone unturned to maintain its supremacy in the state.
The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold a meeting to give the final shape regarding the upcoming civic body polls. State chief Bhupendra Chaudhary and general secretary Dharampal Singh will have a marathon discussion with the election in-charge and co-in-charge on Saturday, along with ministers who are given tasks to keep an eye on the forthcoming civic body polls.
Civic body polls in Uttar Pradesh are set to take place in November and December this year
Discussion will take place on several issues, such as election management, booth management. At the meeting, the candidates’ eligibility will also be discussed.
At 10:30 pm, Kanpur, Bundelkhand, and Awadh’s election in-charge, co-in-charge, and conveners will meet, while the west and Braj region will meet at 1:30 p.m.
A meeting will take place at 3 pm for the Kashi and Goraksha regions.
However, another meeting of the in-charge convenors of the municipal corporations is likely to take place on Saturday, October 8 between 5-7 pm.
