UP: Family of four from Andhra Pradesh found dead at dharamshala in Varanasi

All the deceased belonged to the same family, they were discovered when they did not come out of their room on the third floor of Kashi Bhawan inside the ashram. When an employee of the ashram did not get any response from the room, he peeped through the window and saw lifeless bodies hanging. The police were immediately informed about this gruesome discovery.

Uttar Pradesh: A family of four from Andhra Pradesh, was tragically found dead in a dharamshala room in the holy city of Varanasi. The family, including a woman, had traveled to offer prayers at the iconic Kashi Vishwanath temple. The circumstances leading to his death remain shrouded in mystery, with local authorities engaged in an extensive investigation. A suicide note recovered from the spot stated that the family was suffering from a financial crisis, Varanasi Commissioner of Police Ashok Mutha Jain added.

The police were immediately informed about this gruesome discovery.

Varanasi Police Commissioner, Mutha Ashok Jain, took charge of the situation and led the preliminary investigation. According to prima facie, suggest a possible suicide pact, a conclusion drawn primarily from a suicide note that was found at the scene. In the note, the family hinted at financial issues as a possible motive, indicating a tragic background to the tragedy.

The deceased were identified as Konda Babu (50), Lavanya (45), Rajesh (25) and Jayaraj (25). The family was living in the ashram since December 3, 2023. They had come to Varanasi, a city famous for its spiritual importance, not knowing that it would be his last visit. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem to know the exact cause of death. Their families, friends and the entire community mourn as they await the final report, hoping it will provide much-needed answers to this tragic incident.

The bodies were immediately sent for post-mortem and a forensic team has started investigating the incident. A suicide note written in Telugu was found near the dead bodies, which gives a glimpse of the family’s troubles. The note revealed that the family was receiving death threats after failing to repay the loan, indicating a possible financial crisis behind the extreme step.

The investigation is still ongoing and more information is awaited. This tragic incident is a reminder of the mental health crisis and financial difficulties that many people face in silence. This emphasizes the need for society to pay more attention to these issues and provide assistance to those who find themselves in such dire situations.
