Gautam Buddha Nagar: As the Groundbreaking Ceremony (GBC) 4.0 draws near, an exclusive preview of the proposed International Film City in Jewar will be presented to visitors. A dedicated stall at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, the event venue, will showcase the film city’s replica, offering a glimpse into the ambitious project.

Inauguration by Prime Minister Modi

Scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 19, the film city project is a significant venture by the Yogi government. Collaborating on the design of the replica are Bayview Projects LLP, owned by filmmaker Boney Kapoor, and Bhutani Group, the project’s winning bidders. Kapoor is expected to attend GBC.

State-of-the-Art Replicas and Cameras

The stall, utilizing prototypes and curved screens, will feature state-of-the-art cameras imported from Singapore, aiming to enhance the realism of the film city’s preview. The film city, an extensive project, includes plans for diverse sets such as theme parks, amusement parks, studios, a golf club, and temples. Visitors at GBC will have the unique opportunity to preview replicas of these proposed sets.

Iconic Religious Sites Replicated

The film city stall will also showcase replicas of iconic religious sites, including the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand. Officials from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) expressed that the operational venue can simultaneously accommodate the shooting of over 30 films.

Transformative Impact on YEIDA Landscape

Arunveer Singh, CEO of YEIDA, emphasized the Film City’s transformative impact on the local landscape and the broader appeal it holds for filmmakers and tourists globally. The infrastructure promises versatile shooting floors with varying dimensions, accompanied by in-house facilities, including lighting and cameras. The GBC 4.0 promises an exciting glimpse into the future of Jewar’s International Film City.
