Manoj Kumar Singh, a 1988 batch IAS officer who is counted among the sharpest officers, has been made the new Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh. It was being said that Durga Shankar Mishra may once again get extension in service. However, he did not get extension in service for the fourth time and Manoj Kumar Singh was made the Chief Secretary of the state.

Lucknow: Manoj Kumar Singh, a 1988 batch IAS officer who is counted among the sharpest officers, has been made the new Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh. It was being said that Durga Shankar Mishra may once again get extension in service. However, he did not get extension in service for the fourth time and Manoj Kumar Singh was made the Chief Secretary of the state. Manoj Kumar Singh will take charge this afternoon itself. Manoj Kumar Singh will be both the Chief Secretary and IIDC.

Let us tell you that Manoj Kumar Singh is counted among the trusted officers of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This is the reason why he was performing important responsibilities like Agricultural Production Commissioner and Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner for a long time.

Before this, Manoj Kumar Singh had been the District Magistrate of Lalitpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Pilibhit and Moradabad. He also performed the important responsibility of Rural Development Commissioner. He has also been the Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad. He also performed the responsibility of Additional Chief Secretary of important departments like Rural Engineering Department, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj etc. very well. He has also been Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Government of India.
