Lucknow: Legislative Council (UP MLC Election) elections are being held on 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Nominations for the elections have to be done by June 9. For this, BJP has announced the names of its 9 candidates. In the list of BJP, 7 ministers of Yogi government including Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya have been given tickets.
BJP has announced the names of its 9 candidates for the UP Legislative Council elections on Wednesday. Apart from Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, the party has given tickets to Dayashankar Mishra, JPS Rathore, Narendra Kashyap, Jaswant Saini, Bhupendra Chaudhary and Danish Azad. Apart from this, the party has made BL Dohre and Mukesh Sharma its candidates. Out of these, the tenure of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya is ending on 6 July.
While Jin and 6 ministers have been given tickets. None of the ministers is currently neither a member of the Legislative Council nor an MLA. All of them have become ministers in Yogi Sarkar 2.0. On the other hand, the SP has only finalized the name of Swami Prasad Maurya, who will file his nomination on Wednesday in the presence of Akhilesh Yadav.
