UP News: vegetables price spoils budget, prices of potatoes, tomatoes and onions shot up

Vegetables are now disappearing from the plate of the common man, troubled by inflation. As soon as the rains started, the prices of vegetables started touching the sky. Potatoes and tomatoes have also become expensive and their prices have doubled compared to last month. In the last 15 days, prices of some vegetables have doubled from wholesale markets to retail markets.

UP News: Vegetables are now disappearing from the plate of the common man, troubled by inflation. As soon as the rains started, the prices of vegetables started touching the sky. Potatoes and tomatoes have also become expensive and their prices have doubled compared to last month. In the last 15 days, prices of some vegetables have doubled from wholesale markets to retail markets.

Due to increase in the prices of vegetables, people’s kitchen budget has started deteriorating. The price of potatoes in the retail market has reached Rs 40, while the price of tomatoes has reached Rs 90 to Rs 100 per kg. At the same time, the price of onion which is sold at Rs 30 per kg has crossed Rs 50. It is being told that the prices of vegetables have increased due to rain.

At the same time, the prices of potato and onion, despite being quite low in the wholesale market, are quite high in the retail markets. The prices of green and other vegetables have increased by up to 50 percent in wholesale markets. At the same time, due to increase in the prices of vegetables, vegetables have started disappearing from the common man’s plate.
