Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has made a big announcement. In which the government has announced a big relief for the residents of the state. Under this, it has been announced to give 200 units of free electricity to all the domestic consumers of Karnataka. The Government of Karnataka had made many promises to the public during the elections. One of which was also that 200 units of free electricity would be given to the public. Along with this, those who are living in rented houses will also not have to pay electricity bills for up to 200 units.

Energy Minister KK George said that Rs 13,000 crore would be required annually under the free power scheme and 96 per cent households in the state would be benefited by this scheme. Karnataka government will provide free electricity to the people under Griha Jyoti Yojana. To take advantage of this scheme, it will be mandatory for the people of the state to register under this scheme.

Congress had made these promises before the elections

The people of Karnataka will get 200 units of free electricity under Griha Jyoti Yojana. Along with this, Rs 2,000 will be given to each female head of the family under the Griha Lakshmi scheme.

All women will get free travel in State Road Transport and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses.

Reservation for Scheduled Castes will be increased from 15 to 17 percent.
Reservation for Scheduled Tribes has been increased from 3 percent to 7 percent.

Four percent minority reservation will be restored again. Reservation for Lingayats and Vokkaligas and other communities will be extended and included in the 9th Schedule of the Constitution.

Namma clinics will be set up in every ward. Atal Aahar Kendra will be set up in every ward.

The condition of state government schools will be improved. Nutrition scheme will be implemented in the state.

10 lakh jobs will be made available to the people of the state. Bengaluru will be made the capital region (SCR) of the state.

10 lakh plots will be allotted to the people of the state. Karnataka will be made the hub of e-vehicle.

3 thousand rupees will be given to the farmers as K-Agri Fund. This will greatly benefit the farmers.

BPL card holder families will get 10 kg food grains free of cost in Anna Bhagya Yojana. Rs 3,000 will be given to unemployed graduates under Yuva Nidhi. Unemployed diploma holders will get Rs 1500 per month.

Below Poverty Line (BPL) families will get 3 cylinders free of cost every year.
