Unnao: A prisoner lodged in jail in Unnao, UP has died. The prisoner’s family has accused the jail administration of murder. According to media reports, Safipur police station of Unnao had sent Shankar and Shiva Rawat to jail on March 20 on charges of molestation and after investigation, the police increased the section.
Shiva Rawat got bail on May 7, after which the second accused Shankar started getting worried. Prisoner Shankar died on Wednesday morning. The family members, who reached the spot after receiving the information, have accused him of murder in the jail.
Shiva Kali, wife of Shiva, who was out on bail from jail, told that deceased Shankar was not related to her. His daughter was raped. His hearing was not being held in the police station, that’s why he came to my husband Shiva Rawat for help. When my husband wanted to help her, CO Saheb called him to the police station to make a compromise between the two.
That woman was also present in the police station. But Shankar did not agree after being explained and was demanding justice. Then the police met the accused and sent my husband and Shankar to jail on charges of 376D. Shiv Kali said that I got my husband out of jail on bail on May 7, but Shankar was in jail. When I met Shankar in jail yesterday, he was right. This morning a call came from the jail to come to the hospital, his health is bad.
According to media reports, the victim told that the deceased Shankar is her father. At seven in the morning I got a call to come to the hospital, your father has passed away. Whereas I was gang raped. Rawat, who was helping me, had written a fake case against me and sent me to jail under 376D along with my father.
