There is a possibility of thunderstorms and storms in 44 districts including Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Shravasti and Kanpur Dehat on Sunday. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding storms and rain for the next two days. At the same time, an orange alert for rain has been issued in one district of the state.
Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said that due to the effect of western disturbance, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall along with lightning and strong gusty winds in eastern Uttar Pradesh till May 12, while in western Uttar Pradesh till May 13. After May 13, the weather of the state is likely to remain dry and the temperature is likely to increase.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour along with thunder and lightning in Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah and surrounding areas of the state on Sunday as well.
Rain with thunder and lightning
Places in western UP where rain is likely with thunder and lightning. Warning has been issued in Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya and surrounding districts.

The places where rain is expected with strong winds and thunder are Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas. The maximum temperature in the capital Lucknow was recorded at 36.1 degrees Celsius with a drop of 3.6 degrees Celsius. While the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius.
