New Delhi: A 21-year-old Indian-origin student was shot dead in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the US. The news agency has given this information quoting the United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based English newspaper Khaleej Times. The deceased student has been identified as Jude Chacko.
According to the newspaper, the Indian student was shot by unknown assailants when he was returning from his work.
According to reports, the victim’s parents had migrated to the US from Kollam district of Kerala around 30 years ago and were living there. The report states that Jude Chacko was a student who also worked part-time.
Two people attacked him in an attempt to rob. It is known that this year this is the second such incident in America. Earlier, another American student was targeted and killed.
According to the information, earlier a 24-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh was shot dead at a fuel station in the US on April 21, 2023. Police identified the victim as Saish Veera, who worked at a petrol pump in Ohio. Police said that he was shot dead by unknown assailants while on duty.
