US: Two modern combat helicopters Black Hawk (Blackhawk Helicopter) of the world’s most powerful country America (USA) have crashed. The Black Hawk is the front line utility helicopter of the US military. They were designed by the US after the lessons learned during the Vietnam War. These helicopters are considered effective in carrying out special missions, because their speed is fast and they also have more technical things.

According to news agency, a spokesman for the US Army said that nine soldiers were killed when two US Army Black Hawk helicopters crashed during a routine training mission over Kentucky. Fort Campbell’s public affairs office said the crew members were flying two HH-60 Black Hawk helicopters operated by the 101 st Airborne Division. The plane crashed in Trigg County, Kentucky late Wednesday night.

The Black Hawk has a range of up to 1,381 miles. They can fly for hundreds of km on a single fuel load. Their lift capacity is also said to be good. The US military claims that with its external cargo hook, the Black Hawk can lift 8,000 pounds of cargo. Many such guns are also fitted on this helicopter, with which a target of several kilometers can be penetrated. These helicopters can be used easily even at night.

America also used Black Hawk helicopter to kill the world’s most dreaded terrorist, Osama bin Laden. On the night of 2 May 2011, several sophisticated US helicopters took off from Afghanistan, and surrounded Osama bin Laden’s luxurious mansion in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Osama eluded America for 10 years, but did not escape on the night of 2 May 2011. American soldiers fired from their helicopters. A helicopter also crashed.
