According to the information, the incident took place in Willowbrook, located about 32.1 km southwest of Chicago. Deputy Chief Eric Swanson of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office said at least 20 people were shot in the shooting, including one person who died.
Eric Swanson told that the reason why the firing incident was carried out is not clear. We have admitted many victims to the hospital. He said that the condition of the injured could not be known at the moment.
One eyewitness, Marchecia Avery, said that it appeared that people had gathered for a Juneteenth celebration. On hearing the sound of firing, we immediately lay down on the ground and continued to lie down till the sound of firing stopped. Craig Lotsey, another eyewitness, said that everyone started running after hearing the sound of firing and there was chaos at the scene.
