UST prepares hiring plan to meet digitalisation demand

PUNE: Digital technology and transformation solutions provider UST plans to hire over 10,000 people globally this year as it gears up to meet the accelerating demand for digitalisation. The company has 26,000 employees at present.

According to the California-based company, the new recruitment will include 2,000 entry-level engineering jobs where a candidate will need skills in cyber security, app development and modernization and automation. The firm will add more engineers and creative thinkers, it said.

“These new assignments will support the ongoing development of our industry-leading products and platforms that will scale with increasing demand for our solutions,” said Manu Gopinath, UST’s joint chief operating officer.

The company, which has about 15,000 employees in India, declined to share how many new positions will be added here.

The hiring will be divided into North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia Pacific regions. “With our flexibility and hybrid workplace culture, we solve our customers’ business-critical problems and foster entrepreneurship because they are catalysts of innovation,” said Alexander Varghese, UST’s joint chief operating officer.
