UP: 4 Killed and 21 Injured after Bus-truck collided on Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Kannauj

Uttar Pradesh: On Tuesday, an official said that four killed and 21 others sustained injuries after a collision between a bus and a truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Kannauj. After receiving information about this incident local police reached on the spot.

Uttar Pradesh: On Tuesday, an official said that four killed and 21 others sustained injuries after a collision between a bus and a truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Kannauj. After receiving information about this incident local police reached on the spot.

According to the information, the incident happened near Piprauli village of Thathiya police station in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh. The bus was going from Gorakhpur to Delhi. All the injured have been admitted to Tirwa Medical College. CM Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the people killed in the accident.

On Tuesday morning at 4:15 am, According to the information received from the police a bus going from Gorakhpur to Delhi on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway under Thathiya police station of Kannauj district broke the divider and collided with a truck going in the opposite direction.

A senior official said that there were about 40 passengers in the bus. 4 of them died on the spot while 34 people were injured. The police reached the spot and took the dead to the hospital.

Giving details about the accident, the principal of Tirwa Medical College said,” approximate 38 passengers have come to us, out of which 4 have died. The rest of the injured are undergoing treatment. Two injured have been referred to Lucknow due to their critical condition.”
