Uttar Pradesh: Police constable in Hapur shoots himself with his service rifle under suspicious circumstances

A constable was shot under suspicious circumstances with his licensed rifle. Hearing the sound, the nearby policemen reached the spot. He informed the higher authorities. As soon as the information was received, the high officials reached the spot.

Hapur: In the police line located in the Kotwali area, a constable was shot under suspicious circumstances with his licensed rifle. Hearing the sound, the nearby policemen reached the spot. He informed the higher authorities. As soon as the information was received, the high officials reached the spot. The soldier was taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.

Please tell that constable Ankit, a resident of Bijnor, was posted on the duty of quarter guard in the police line. Ankit came to Hapur police line from Ghaziabad PAC on 17 February. Policemen reached the spot after hearing the sound of gunshots at around 4:30 am on Friday morning.

He saw that the constable was hit by a bullet from his licensed rifle. The policemen who reached the spot immediately informed the higher officials. As soon as the information was received, there was a stir in the police department. High officials reached the spot. After this, the soldier was taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead. This information was given to the relatives of the deceased soldier.

However, prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide. But, due to no suicide note being found from the spot, the matter also seems suspicious. Police officers are talking about investigation in the whole matter.

In this whole incident, SP Abhishek Verma told that constable Ankit Kumar is stationed at the quarter guard in the police line. He is basically a resident of Bijnor. It had arrived in the district from PAC Ghaziabad on 17th February. It was reported that he had committed suicide with his service rifle. On information, all the officers reached the spot and their family members were informed. The dead body has been sent for postmortem. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot.

This whole matter will be investigated. The policemen who were posted together will also be questioned. This whole matter will be investigated closely and information about this whole matter will be given soon.
