Uttarakhand: Magnitude 3.0 earthquake jolts Uttarkashi, no damage reported

New Delhi: According to the report of National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of 3.0 magnitude struck Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on September 25. The earthquake occurred Uttarkashi of Uttarakhand today at around 8:35 AM and its depth was 5 km.

New Delhi: According to the report of National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of 3.0 magnitude struck Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on September 25. The earthquake occurred Uttarkashi of Uttarakhand today at around 8:35 AM and its depth was 5 km.

The NCS tweeted on X, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.0, Occurred on 25-09-2023, 08:35:54 IST, Lat: 31.07 & Long: 77.98, Depth: 5 Km ,Location: Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India.”

According to the information, There is no indication of any damage in the district due to the earthquake. Light tremors of the earthquake were also felt in Purola, Badkot, Mori along with the district headquarters.

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) data, mild earthquakes measuring 2.8 and 2.1 on the Richter scale had hit Mandi and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh early last week.
