The NCS tweeted on X, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.0, Occurred on 25-09-2023, 08:35:54 IST, Lat: 31.07 & Long: 77.98, Depth: 5 Km ,Location: Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India.”

According to the information, There is no indication of any damage in the district due to the earthquake. Light tremors of the earthquake were also felt in Purola, Badkot, Mori along with the district headquarters.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) data, mild earthquakes measuring 2.8 and 2.1 on the Richter scale had hit Mandi and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh early last week.
