Uttarakhand murder case to be tried in fast-track court, announces ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh to family: CM Dhami

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the family members of Ankita Bhandari and said that case will be heard in fast track court.

Rishikesh: There is a boil in all the cities of Uttarakhand regarding the Ankita Bhandari murder case. So for speedy justice he transferred this case to fast track court. He also announced Rs 25 lakh as compensation for the family of the Pauri-Garhwal teenager, who was killed allegedly by since-expelled BJP leader Vinod Arya’s son Pulkit Arya, who owns the resort, and two employees.

At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that we have requested the court to set up a fast track court to hear the matter at the earliest. He said that such an incident is not tolerable in Uttarakhand, we have requested the court for the harshest punishment to the guilty. The SIT is looking into all aspects, the team has slowly started gathering evidence. All the evidence will be placed before the court, strengthen the case.
