Uttarakhand: Amid the ongoing rescue efforts for workers trapped in the collapsed tunnel in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, accompanied by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, is set to conduct an on-site inspection today. The visit aims to assess the progress of relief operations following the tunnel collapse.
Rescue Operation Update:
Bhaskar Khulbe, former advisor to the PMO, shared details of the ongoing rescue operation, emphasizing efforts to ensure the safety of the entire area for workers involved in the rescue.
The local administration is deploying a tree-cutting expert, Ashiq Hussain, as part of efforts to extricate the 40 workers trapped inside the tunnel for seven days.
Vertical drilling from the upper part of the tunnel is being explored as a means to reach the trapped workers.
