Pune: Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla on Sunday praised India’s adequate arrangements to fight Covid pandemic. The government and healthcare workers are working around the clock to stop the pandemic from spreading in the country.
He said this on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of a super speciality hospital in Pune.
Currently, everyone is looking towards India today. The Covid management has been successful in implementing measures to combat its spread. “Credit should be given to the joint effort of government and healthcare workers with a common goal to tame the virus,” he said.
Poonawalla went on to say that I have been all over the world but find that the situation in India is better than other nations. Therefore, I urge people that there is no need to go abroad. It is better to stay in India.
However, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya told the people on Thursday that there is no need to panic despite the surge in Covid cases in several countries, but he urged them to apply safety measures and follow the guidelines issued by the Center.
The Serum Institute team, Aadhar and Cyrusji, have done remarkable work and shown the world India’s power in controlling the Covid pandemic.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted, “We are proud of this leadership and team!”
