Vande Bharat Express with Sleeper Coaches: Connecting Bhopal to Delhi and Mumbai

The Vande Bharat Express, known for its high-class modern facilities, is set to enhance long-distance travel with the introduction of sleeper coaches. Currently, Vande Bharat Express trains operate as sitting-only trains across various routes in India. However, the latest development reveals that Vande Bharat will soon include sleeper coaches, offering even more convenience to passengers. The inaugural sleeper service will likely pass through Bhopal.

First Sleeper Service: Mumbai to Delhi via Bhopal
The first Vande Bharat sleeper train is slated to operate between Mumbai and Delhi, passing through Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh’s capital. This new service will significantly benefit long-distance travelers, providing a more comfortable and efficient journey.

Addressing High Demand: Delhi-Mumbai Route
The Delhi-Mumbai railway route is one of the busiest in India, often experiencing full trains and challenging reservations. Introducing the Vande Bharat sleeper train on this route aims to alleviate these issues, offering passengers a more reliable and comfortable travel option.

Upcoming Trials: Ready for the Tracks
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav recently announced that India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train would be operational within two months. The trainset construction is progressing rapidly, with technical work nearing completion. Trials for the sleeper train on this route are expected to begin next month.

Comfortable Travel with 16 Coaches
The Vande Bharat sleeper train will feature 16 coaches, ensuring a comfortable journey for all passengers. The configuration includes 10 Third AC coaches, four Second AC coaches, one First AC coach, and two SLR coaches. Initially, the train will run at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour, eventually increasing to 160-220 kilometers per hour.

Enhanced Passenger Experience
With the addition of sleeper coaches, the Vande Bharat Express is poised to transform long-distance rail travel in India. This development highlights the commitment to providing modern, comfortable, and efficient travel options for passengers across the country.
