Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Goa-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express from Madgaon railway station on the first journey through online medium on Saturday morning. The officers provided this information. Railway officials here told that this will be the country’s 19th semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express, the fourth Vande Bharat train operated from Mumbai and the fifth Vande Bharat train operated from Maharashtra.

He told that Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will be present along with other dignitaries in the inauguration ceremony organized at Madgaon railway station. Officials said that the Prime Minister will flag off the train through video link at around 10.45 am and it will reach Mumbai at around 6.30 pm.

How many coaches will be there in the train

The train operating on the Mumbai-Goa route will have only eight coaches, unlike the 16 coaches of the Vande Bharat Express. According to officials, the operation of this train will be six days a week except Friday. However, the regular timetable has not been released yet

Will travel in 7 hours

This train will be flagged off on June 03 from Madgaon in Mumbai. Now the distance from Mumbai to Goa can be covered in 7 hours. This train will have 8 coaches instead of 16. Currently CSMT Tejas Express (22120) runs from Goa to Mumbai. It departs from Goa Madgaon Station (MAO) at 15:15 and reaches Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Station (CSMT) at 23:55. This train covers the distance from Goa to Mumbai in 8 hours 40 minutes.

Vande Bharat started in the year 2019

After the introduction of Vande Bharat train on Mumbai-Goa route, this train will be operated in a total of 19 routes. Firstly, on February 17, 2019, PM Narendra Modi unveiled this semi high speed train between Delhi and Varanasi. This is a train made of 100 percent Indian technology. On the other hand, on Monday, PM Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat train between Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri, giving a gift to the northeastern states. This train will complete the 410 kilometer journey between the two cities in just 5.30 hours. Earlier, the trains running between the two cities on this route used to take a total of more than 6 hours to complete the journey.
