Varanasi-bound Vande Bharat Express suffers from  ‘jammed wheel’

One of the rakes of the Varanasi-bound Vande Bharat Express train faced the problem of a jammed wheel on Saturday, October 8.

Varanasi: Vande Bharat Express has been facing issues on a regular basis. Therefore, its smooth operation hasn’t been possible in the last week.

For the third time in a row, Vande Bharat Express faced technical issues on Saturday, which turned out to be a nightmare in its operation. This time, one of the rakes of the Varanasi-bound train faced the problem of a jammed wheel on Saturday, October 8.

Recently, the Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express train hit a herd of buffaloes, which partly damaged the nose of the train. The train covered the remaining distance without a nose cover.

But today, the defect took place in the traction motor of the C8 coach of the train. The incident occurred between the Dankaur and Wair stations.

A statement read, “Vane Bharat Rake (Train no. 22436) has suffered a failure due to a bearing defect in the traction motor of the C8 coach between Dankaur and Wair stations of North Central Railway.”

Incidentally, the technical staff came into action and detected the fault, and cautioned the railway operations control to stop the train, which was going to Varanasi from Delhi.
