Varun wants to focus on becoming a part of movies that bring audiences to theatres at a time when actors are looking to the web and exploring some digital opportunities.
Mumbai: Bhediya, a freshly released movie starring Varun Dhawan, is doing well at the box office. Hindi movies have been passing through a difficult phase to sustain at the box office right now, but the monster comedy Bhediya, starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, has been able to keep up. Varun wants to focus on becoming a part of movies that bring audiences to theatres at a time when actors are looking to the web and exploring some digital opportunities.
“I enjoy massy entertainers,” he declares. Anything that grabs people’s attention and brings them to theatres is what I want to concentrate on. I want to work on projects that will force them to visit theatres by promising them an enjoyable experience. So, in my opinion, our film industry consistently produces excellent films that will draw audiences to the theaters.
Varun previously stated that films with a strong sense of place make viewers believe they have a connection with the characters. Such films will undoubtedly draw crowds to the theaters. According to him, I will connect with anything more quickly if it is related to my customs and culture because of the reliability factor. But as an artist, I’m willing to investigate any story that can leave a mark on me. “Bhediya is fantastical and supernatural, and it is also rooted in our folklore; it motivates you because it is a ‘what if’ story.”
