On Sunday, a car carrying at least six passengers caught fire on National Highway 27 at Nunapar near Rangia in Assam’s Kamrup district. Assam Police reported that all passengers managed to escape unharmed.

Assam Police Confirms Incident

According to a police officer from Kamrup district, the vehicle’s occupants were fortunate to avoid injuries as the fire engulfed the car due to a technical problem. The incident occurred, leading to the complete destruction of the vehicle.

Technical Glitch Blamed for Car Engulfed in Flames

Eyewitnesses at the scene shared their account, stating that despite efforts to extinguish the flames, the vehicle sustained extensive damage. “We had tried to douse the flames, but the vehicle was damaged completely,” said a local youth who witnessed the incident.

Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire, emphasizing the importance of vehicle safety and maintenance on the highways.
