Veteran actor-director Satish Kaushik passes away at 66, Anupam Kher tweets information

A day before his death, Satish Kaushik posted pictures of Holi with Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Javed Akhtar, Mahima Chaudhary in his last tweet on March 7, in which the usual carelessness and smile are visible on his face. Satish Kaushik had also told in the tweet that he had played this Holi at Janaki Kutir in Juhu.

Mumbai: Famous actor, producer and director Satish Kaushik has passed away in the early hours of Thursday at the age of 66 in Mumbai. His close friend, actor Anupam Kher gave this information by tweeting. Taking to his twitter handle, Kher expressed his condolences over Kaushik’s death. The cause of death is not yet known.

He wrote, “I know “death is the ultimate truth of this world!” But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!”. A day before his death, Satish Kaushik had posted pictures of Holi with Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Javed Akhtar, Mahima Chaudhary in his last tweet on March 7, in which his face is always carefree and smiling. Satish Kaushik was born on April 13, 1956 in Mahendergarh, Haryana. He was an actor, comedian, screenwriter, director and producer. He acted in theatres before finding his break in Bollywood. He started his acting career with the 1983 film ‘Masoom’. He worked in about 100 films in his career spanning nearly 4 decades. In the year 1993, he stepped into the world of direction with the film ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ and directed about one and a half dozen films.
