Chennai: Popular Tamil comic actor R Mayilsamy passes away on Sunday morning, 19 February. He was 57 years old. As per sources, the veteran actor passed away due to ill health. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala also confirmed the death and said that the actor felt uneasiness yesterday and his family took him to Porur Ramachandra Hospital. Mayilsamy died on the way to the hospital and the doctors confirmed his death.
Ramesh tweeted, “Last video of late actor #Mayilsamy..He felt restless..He died on the way as his family took him to Porur Ramachandra Hospital..Later, doctors confirmed.. He was busy with many films.” .. When the legend passed away, TV channels called him first.. RIP!”

Moments after Mayilsamy’s death was confirmed, netizens took to Twitter to express their condolences. A netizen paid tribute to the late actor by tweeting, “We have lost a good human being. May your soul rest in peace #Mayilsamy sir.” Another user wrote, “Shocking and heartbreaking rest in peace #mayilsamy sir.”
Yesterday, Mayilsamy completed the dubbing of his upcoming film Glassmate. In a video shared by PR firm, DNext, she was seen recording her lines with gusto and enthusiasm.
