Gandhinagar : Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar, marking two decades since the inception of this prestigious event under his leadership. The summit, themed ‘Gateway to the Future,’ is set to celebrate “20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success.”
The three-day summit, running from January 10 to 12, has attracted participation from 34 partner countries and delegates representing over 130 nations. The inaugural event featured several global leaders, with United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan serving as the chief guest.
In his address at the summit, PM Modi highlighted India’s remarkable economic journey, stating that India is now the fifth-largest economy globally, a significant leap from the 11th position a decade ago. He emphasized India’s commitment to becoming a developed country within the next 25 years, framing this period as India’s “Amrit Kaal.”
“Today, all major agencies estimate that India will be in the top three economies of the world in the coming years. Let people across the world do their analysis, but it is my guarantee that it will happen,” PM Modi declared.
As part of the summit, PM Modi is scheduled to engage with CEOs of top global corporations and participate in the Global FinTech Leadership Forum at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City). The summit provides a platform for business collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships, reinforcing its reputation as a global forum for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show showcased cutting-edge products and technologies, featuring sectors such as e-mobility, startups, MSMEs, blue economy, green energy, and smart infrastructure. Gujarat’s futuristic projects and investments, including DREAM City, GIFT City, Dholera SIR, and the Ahmedabad-Mumbai High-Speed Rail, were also highlighted.
The summit will host events on globally relevant topics such as Industry 4.0, Technology and Innovation, Sustainable Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen, Electric Mobility, Renewable Energy, and Transition towards Sustainability. It will provide a platform for the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region to showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, initiated in 2003 under the leadership of PM Modi, continues to evolve as a prominent global platform for fostering business collaborations and driving sustainable development. The event encapsulates the vision for India’s economic growth and global leadership in the years to come.
