Bengaluru: A case of a ticket collector (TC) misbehaving with a female passenger has come to light in Bengaluru city. The incident is of KR Puram railway station, where TC misbehaved with a woman. During this, the people present at the station intervened, then TC clashed with them too. It seems that TC was probably doing duty under the influence of alcohol. After the video went viral, South Western Railway suspended the TC and started an investigation.
The video of TC misbehaving with a woman at the railway station is also going viral on social media. It is heard in this video that TC is talking to the woman in a very wrong way. It is seen in the video that the woman is returning after traveling by train. During this there is also a man with her. TC stops them and asks to show the ticket.
“Why are you bullying me? I have booked a ticket which is why I am here,” the distraught woman told the railway employee standing in front of her, to which he replied, “Show and go, bloody. This is my job.”
Other passengers around the crying woman stood up for her. “This girl is traveling alone, and he’s bullying her. I don’t even know her but I can see that the guy is dissing her,” a male passenger standing near the woman said.
The woman insists that she booked her ticket and had shown it to a different ticket collector, but the railway employee shuts her down and attempts to walk away. Bystanders stop him, grab him by the shirt and pull him back to her, all the while accusing him of being drunk.
Meanwhile, another passenger is seen saying in the video that this TC is harassing a single woman. We should speak against it. No woman should be treated like this. This is going very wrong. After this, the voice of some other people also comes, they all say that call the police. Meanwhile, he goes away from the TC lady and stands up.
In the last few days, many cases of indecent behavior with women in the train have come to the fore. A few days back, a TTE had urinated on a woman’s head in the Akal Takht Express going from Amritsar to Kolkata. It is alleged that TTE Munna Kumar was intoxicated at that time. Also, the accused was on leave during the journey. Lucknow GRP has arrested the accused TTE Munna Kumar in this case.
