‘Videography’ and ‘reels’ not allowed within 50 metre radius of temples, no VIP darshan at Chardhams till May 31

Char Dham Yatra 2024: Uttarakhand government has banned making reels or doing videography within 50 meters of Char Dham temples. In this regard, Uttarakhand State Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued an order. He has said that from now on the administration will also register a case against those people who are spreading misinformation or rumors by making reels about the Chardham Yatra. The Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand has instructed the officials to implement it strictly.

Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has ordered the Tourism Secretary, Garhwal Division Commissioner, SP and District Collector that from now on videography, social media reels etc. should not be made within a radius of 50 meters from the temples. This causes problems to the people who come on pilgrimage for faith and also hurts their sentiments.

Since a large number of devotees are arriving for the Chardham Yatra, it is being seen that some people are creating problems for the rest of the pilgrims due to making reels or doing videography etc. in the temple premises. Keeping this in view, the Uttarakhand government has taken this decision….

Spreading misleading information

The Chief Secretary has also said that some people are spreading confusion through reels. Whereas making a reel with misleading information and posting it on social media is a crime. If you are going on a journey under the influence of faith then it is wrong to make such reels near temples. This also shows that you are not coming for faith. Besides, by this you are hurting the sentiments of those people who are coming here for their faith. From now on, strict legal action will be taken against those making such misleading reels.

VIP darshan banned

In view of the huge crowd of devotees in Chardham Yatra, the ban on VIP darshan has been extended till May 31. So that all the devotees can easily visit all the four Dhams.
