Village defence guard injured in firing incident in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir

Udhampur: An early hours of Sunday, official said that One person was injured in a firing incident in a remote village in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Udhampur: An early hours of Sunday, official said that One person was injured in a firing incident in a remote village in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Official added that the injured is identified as a village defence guard (VDG). They also said the firing was reported from Panara village in Basantgarh when the VDG team patrolling the forest area encountered some suspicious persons, believed to be militants.

In a statement, J-K Police said,”In a firing incident reported from Panara Village of Basantgarh area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur District one person has been injured.”
