Andhra Pradesh: A man was arrested after he allegedly set fire to a liquor shop in Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh after he was not served liquor, police said on Sunday. The man identified as Madhu. The incident happened in the Madurwada police station area of the city.
Andhra Pradesh: A man was arrested after he allegedly set fire to a liquor shop in Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh after he was not served liquor, police said on Sunday. The man identified as Madhu. The incident happened in the Madurwada police station area of the city.
Giving information about this incident Pothinamallayya Palem Inspector Rama Krishna, a man named came down to a wine shop in the Madurwada area, but due to the closing time, the shop staff denied giving alcohol to him.
This led to an argument between the accused and the staff. The accused left the spot after being warned, but he returned to the shop on Sunday evening with a petrol tank. He poured the petrol inside the shop and also the staff members and lit the fire.
Police said the staff members immediately ran away from the shop to save their lives, however, the shop was gutted and property worth Rs 1.5 lakh, including computers and printers, was burnt.
After this incident, Inspector Rama Krishna said,”A case was filed against the accused under Sections 307 and 436 of the IPC.” He added that the accused was taken into police custody.
