Raipur: Huge fire erupts at Nehru Nagar Under Bridge in Bhilai district, Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. As per preliminary report, no casualties have been reported so far, though several fire tenders have reached the spot to douse the fire.

According to reports, a fire was reported in a godown-like structure at the Nehru Nagar Under Bridge area. As soon as the fire department was informed, it rushed several fire tenders to the spot.
Since the fire broke out in the afternoon, there was very little movement of people there. No casualty has been reported in the incident.
As per latest reports, the fire has been brought under control. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier today, a fire broke out in a duct of a 17-storey residential building in Maharashtra’s Thane city .
There was no casualty, an official said, adding that 70 to 75 residents were evacuated from the building, located in Anand Nagar area, Thane Municipal Corporations’c regional disaster management cell (RDMC) chief Avinash Sawant said.
The fire broke out around 8.20 am in an electric cable in the duct of floors 13 to 17. A team of the RDMC and local firemen rushed to the spot and the blaze was doused, he said.
“No one was injured. The cause of the fire is not yet known,” the official said.
