During his interaction with the students, PM Modi blamed the previous governments saying that Indian students would not have to go abroad to pursue medical education if the policies around it were more effective from earlier.

“Govt working to have medical colleges in every district, more doctors will likely be produced in 10 years than in earlier 70 years,” he added.

He also addressed the displeasure expressed by some students and their parents, even at him, after facing hardships in Ukraine. “I think it is natural for them to feel angry in this crisis,” he said.

The Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday said that more than 3,000 Indians have been brought back from Ukraine in the last 24 hours and the process is still going on. MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that more flights are being scheduled for the next 2-3 days to bring back more Indians stuck in Ukraine.
