New Delhi: Congress leader Sachin Pilot has urged all the people of Rajasthan to join Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. This yatra is about to enter the state today. This video of the pilot appealing to join the yatra has come to the fore after an attempt to show unity in which he was seen with CM Ashok Gehlot. These two leaders were seen together as part of an exercise to show unity after Gehlot called Pilot a ‘traitor’ in an interview and the differences between the two leaders increased considerably.

In the video, Sachin Pilot is shown lacing up and many people including children are shown with him carrying the national flag. Seeing the hoarding of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, he stops and asks, “Entire Rajasthan is participating in Rahulji’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Are you coming?” A leader of the Gujjar community had warned of disruption in this march of the Congress if Pilot was not made the CM of Rajasthan. However, sources close to the former Deputy Chief Minister dissuaded him from such comments.

Gehlot had said in an interview to sources last week that Pilot is a ‘traitor’ who cannot replace him as he rebelled against the Congress in 2020 and tried to topple the state government. Responding to which Sachin Pilot termed the allegations as completely ‘false, unnecessary and unacceptable’.

Regarding this whole matter, the Congress had said that Ashok Gehlot should not have used “certain words” regarding Sachin Pilot in his interview. It was also said on behalf of the party that if the need arises, the Congress will not hesitate to take “tough decisions” to strengthen the organization in Rajasthan.
