Watch viral video of a doctor who trapped in a traffic jam saw on Google Map that it would take him 45 minutes to reach the hospital. After this, after handing over the car to the driver, the doctor started running for the hospital and also reached on time.

Bengaluru: Video of a doctor is going viral from Bengaluru. A doctor stuck in traffic in Bangalore left the car on the road to save the patient’s life and reached the hospital after running for three kilometres. Here the doctor performed the successful surgery of the patient. The incident is of August 30. Dr. Govind Nandakumar is a Gastroenterology Surgeon. He was on his way to Manipal Hospital in Sarjapur to have an emergency laparoscopic gallbladder surgery. When he was on the last leg of his journey, his car got stuck in traffic.

According to reports, Dr Govind Nandakumar, gastroenterology surgeon, was stuck in traffic on the Sarjapur-Marathahalli stretch on his way to Manipal Hospital, Sarjapur where he was scheduled to perform a emergency laparoscopic gallbladder surgery on August 30. Noting that he was severely late in the last stretch of his journey, he disembarked from his vehicle and decided to run.

Realising that a delay could put the female patient in harm’s way, Dr Nandakumar left his car and ran for three kilometres to perform the crucial surgery. He even posted a short clip of his run on his Instagram handle:

He realized that he was getting too late. In such a situation, there was panic about not being able to reach the doctor on time. He checked Google Maps, which found that it would take him another 45 minutes to reach his destination.

After this the doctor got down from the car and completed the journey by running from Sarjapur-Marathahalli section to the hospital. That day, he had instructed the driver to reach the hospital on time for the scheduled surgery at 10 am. But this did not happen. From the middle of the way, the doctor ran to the hospital and completed the surgery successfully.

Dr Govinda Nandakumar told that, ‘On August 30, I was stuck in a traffic jam. I was worried that the surgery would be delayed. With no other option, I decided to go to the hospital with the help of Google Maps. I got out of the car and decided to cover the rest of the journey by running on the Sarjapur-Marathahalli route. Running was easy for me as I do gym regularly. I ran 3 km to the hospital and did the surgery on time.
