Watch video: Delhi Police officer dances on ‘Mera Balam Thanedar’ in uniform at ceremony, may face action

A video of a Delhi Police SHO has surfaced, in which he is seen dancing wearing uniform. This video is of a family function, for which he had taken leave from the police station but he went wearing uniform to dance on the song.

Viral Video: A Delhi Police officer may face disciplinary punishment after a video of him dancing in uniform at a family function went viral on social media. Srinivas is the commanding officer of Naraina police station in south-west Delhi. The video features him grooving to the hit track “Balam Thanedar”. Several people have been seen on record dancing with a family member of the officer.

Actually, in the viral video, a SHO of Delhi Police is seen dancing in uniform. He is seen dancing wearing uniform. This video is of a family function, for which he had taken leave from the police station, but went in uniform to dance on the song. During the ring ceremony, he rhymed Mera Balma Thanedar in such a way that it spread all over the world.

The cop was reportedly at a relative’s engagement ceremony. It has been learned that he was on leave, implying that he wore the police uniform particularly to dance to the “Balam Thanedaar” song. Other officers, who appeared to be part of the officer’s team, were also seen in the video. The officer also puts on sunglasses to add to the mood as the crowd cheers him on.

The video quickly went viral after it was shared on social media, with many criticising the officer for disrespecting the police uniform. Senior officers are apparently dissatisfied with the station commander and want to take action against him.
