Watch video: Doctors deliver baby amid strong earthquake tremors at Anantnag hospital in J&K

Earthquake: On March 21, tremors were also felt in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan. According to the Science Center, the earthquake occurred at 10.17 pm.

Srinagar: Earthquake tremors were felt in North India on Tuesday (March 21) late night. Meanwhile, doctors of a hospital in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir have given birth to a baby boy. The baby was born through a lower-segment caesarean section. According to information, Emergency LSCS (lower-segment cesarean section) was going on at SDH (Sub District Hospital) Bijbehara Anantnag, during which strong tremors were felt.

The Chief Medical Officer of the district tweeted that thanks to the staff of SDH (Sub District Hospital) Bijbehara who operated the LSCS. Along with this, he wrote that thank God that everything went well. The tweet included a video which showed how the staff is operating at the time of the earthquake and everything around it is shaking.

Death toll reaches to 11
Earthquake tremors were felt in entire North India including Delhi, Haryana on Tuesday night. The tremors of the earthquake were so strong that people came out of their houses and shops and came on the streets. The maximum impact of earthquake in India can be seen in Delhi-NCR including Jammu-Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana. The National Center for Seismology in India said that the earthquake occurred at 10.17.27 pm local time and the Earthquake Science Center mapped the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6.

Apart from this, tremors were also felt in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan. The epicenter of the earthquake was 133 km southeast of Faizabad in northern Afghanistan. At least 11 people died after the earthquake in Pakistan and Afghanistan on Tuesday, while more than 100 people were injured.
