Moscow: In a tragic incident in Moscow, Russian firefighters battled a blaze the size of a football pitch. Emergency services said that the fire started in a shopping center in the suburbs of Moscow. The Ministry of Emergency Services of Russia said on Telegram, in the Moscow region, firefighters are extinguishing the fire in the 7000 square meter area. The fire broke out at the Mega Khimki shopping center in Khilki, a northern suburb of Moscow. The Russian news agency quoted emergency services as saying that “arson” could also be a reason behind this fire.

“The open blaze was put out at 10:45 am (0735 GMT),” Sergei Poletykin, the head of the Moscow region emergency services told Russian media.
“A deliberate act, such as arson, is being considered,” according to sources.
