Toronto: India has objected to Canada’s anti-India sloganeering and sabotage at the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Toronto. India has requested the Canadian government to take action. In the tweet, the Indian High Commission has asked to take strict action against the criminals. Pro-Khalistan things have been written on the walls of Swaminarayan temple. Ahead of the Indian High Commission tweet, several Canadian parliamentarians and Hindus have condemned anti-India slogans at the Swaminarayan temple.
The High Commission said in its tweet, ‘We condemn the anti-India activities at BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Toronto. The Canadian administration should investigate this matter and take strict action against the perpetrators. Canadian MP Chandra Arya said that Hindu Canadians are worried about the hate crime against Hindu temples. He said in the tweet, ‘Everyone should condemn the brutality of Khalistani extremists at Swaminarayan Temple in Toronto. This is not the only incident.

Hindu temples in Canada have been victims of hate crime in the past. Hindus are troubled by such incidents.
Many videos are becoming viral on social media, in which pro-Khalistan slogans are written on the walls of the temple. Canadian MP Ruby Sahota said, ‘Slogan shouting at Swaminarayan Mandir in Swaminarayan Mandir Etobicoke is derogatory and disgusting. All religions in Canada have the right to practice without fear or intimidation. Criminals should be punished for this act.

Brampton South MP Sonia Sidhu said in a tweet, “I am shocked by the vandalism at the Swaminarayan Temple in Toronto. We live in a multicultural and multi-faith community where everyone deserves to feel safe. are responsible for this, they should be ready to bear the brunt of it.”
