According to the police, 23-year-old Vicky Sharma, who was driving the scooter, has been detained and his vehicle seized.
Lucknow: Lucknow Police has detained a youth who was seen in a viral video in Hazratganj area of the city. In the video, he was allegedly seen with a young girl on a busy road in the UP capital. The video surfaced on social media on Tuesday, in which the couple was seen making obscene gestures. Acting promptly in the matter, the police took this young man into custody. The girl seen with him in the video is a minor.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Central Lucknow Rajesh Srivastava told sources on Wednesday, “A video surfaced yesterday in which a man and a minor girl were seen sitting on a scooter in an objectionable manner in the Hazratganj police station area of Lucknow.”
He said, “A case has been registered in this matter under section 294, 279 of the IPC. Vicky Sharma, 23, who was driving the scooter, has been detained and his vehicle has been seized.” According to the police, A case has been registered in the matter for spreading obscenity in a public place. The accused youth is said to hail from a rural environment while the girl accompanying him turned out to be a minor.
