Heavy rain warning has been issued in many districts of Uttarakhand on 4th September. Rain is expected in many districts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, South Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. In the northeast, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Till late Saturday evening, the movement of vehicles was stalled on 30 roads in the state. 9 roads remained closed in Kullu, 7 in Chamba, 6 in Mandi, 5 in Shimla, 2 in Kangra and 1 in Solan. Electricity transformers also blew up in some districts. According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued for flash floods in many parts of Kangra, Chamba, Sirmaur and Shimla districts during the next 24 hours.
