New Delhi: According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, in the next 24 hours, most of the districts of the Uttar Pradesh may receive heavy rains.The possibility of rain has been expressed in many districts of Eastern UP to Western UP and Bundelkhand. In addition, in three other districts, a warning of heavy to very heavy rain has also been issued. Maharashtra, Karnataka and Rajasthan, among others, battle with the widespread rainfall that has triggered flooding and waterlogging in the states, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more heavy downpours for the next three days.
The districts of Uttar Pradesh where the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains are Hardoi and Kanpur Nagar. There may also be heavy rain at isolated places in the adjoining areas of these districts. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these two districts. Heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning are very likely over Maharashtra (Vidarbha, Marathwada and central part of the state) and Chhattisgarh on today.
The Meteorological Department has predicted more rains in the next two-three days before the withdrawal of monsoon from the National Capital Region. There is a possibility of more and more heavy rains in Delhi during the day. Due to the rains in the next few days in Delhi, the rain deficit has been predicted to go away to some extent. Due to the rain, the air quality in Delhi and the entire NCR is also expected to be fine. Along with this, a drop in the temperature of Delhi will also be recorded. With this, the monsoon is expected to depart from here in the next two to three days.
The weather forecast has been made over Madhya Pradesh on September 22 and 23. In west Madhya Pradesh, isolated very heavy rainfall is expected. Isolated heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning are very likely over Haryana and Chandigarh on September 22, and over Uttarakhand and west Uttar Pradesh between September 22 and 25. East UP and east Rajasthan will have similar weather on September 22 and 23.
The weather department also predicted, in Delhi too, isolated heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning has been forecast by the IMD on September 22. Northern eastern states will also see isolated heavy falls with thunderstorm and lightning over the next few days. In Arunachal Pradesh, the weather will persist between September 22 and 24; in Assam and Meghalaya on September 22 and 23, and in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on September 22.
IMD has once again issued a ‘yellow’ alert of rain. Due to this, continuous rain has been forecast in this hill state till September 24. According to IMD, rain has been predicted in many districts on 22nd September. Under this forecast, heavy rainfall may occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts.
