Weather News: IMD forecast issues heavy rainfall in these states today , cold will increase in UP-Bihar

At the same time, it will rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal on 20-21 and 22, while it will rain in Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on 21 and 22. According to the weather information website Skymet, today there may be light to moderate rain at some places with heavy rain at many places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar.

New Delhi: While on one hand the cold is increasing in the country, on the other hand there is also the rainy season. In North, Central and Eastern India including UP-Bihar, where there is a continuous drop in temperature and the winter is increasing, there is no possibility of getting relief from the rain in the states of South India.

According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal and it is likely to concentrate in the disturbance and move over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining areas. This means that the rainy season will continue for the next few days in the surrounding areas including Tamil Nadu. At the same time, the air of Delhi-NCR can still remain in poor condition and a drop in temperature will also be recorded.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rains in Andaman-Nicobar today and during this time the wind will also blow strong. At the same time, it will rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal on 20-21 and 22, while it will rain in Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on 21 and 22. Apart from this, due to snowfall in the hilly states including Himachal Pradesh, further fall in the temperature of North India will be recorded.

The Meteorological Department said that in Bihar and UP and surrounding areas, the temperature may drop by up to 2 degrees in the next one or two days. According to the weather information website Skymet, today there may be light to moderate rain at some places with heavy rain at many places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar. Not only this, the sea condition is likely to remain rough over Andaman Sea and adjoining parts of South-Central Bay of Bengal and strong winds with high waves are likely to prevail in the sea. Also, there may be further drop in day and night temperatures over parts of Northwest, Central and East India.

At the same time, the air quality index of Delhi-NCR is expected to remain in the poor category. AQI will be seen in the medium range in Pune, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Air pollution in Delhi-NCR is still affecting the people. The air in many areas of NCR including Delhi is still bad. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the 24-hour air quality index in Delhi stood at 260, which falls in the ‘poor’ category.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe. Even today the AQI is likely to remain in the poor category.
