Weather today: IMD forecast predicts snowfall in hilly areas, cold wave in MP and fog in UP

The weather is likely to remain mainly dry over the country during the next five days. However, light rain and snowfall is expected in all the hilly states of the Himalayas including Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. New Delhi: The weather is likely to remain mainly dry over the country during the next five days. However, light rain and snowfall is expected in all the hilly states of the Himalayas including Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several southern states including Tamil Nadu and Kerala have received heavy rainfall in the last two to three days. However, the weather is expected to remain dry in the next few days.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature is expected to increase by about 2 degree Celsius in many parts of North West India till Tuesday and after that there will be no significant change. According to the Meteorological Department, on February 5, cold wave can also be seen at some places in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Odisha. There is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature in many parts of central India till Sunday.

After this, there will be an increase of 2 to 3 degree Celsius in the next three days and after that there will be a fall of 2 to 3 degree Celsius. Dense fog during night and morning over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Mizoram on Sunday and Monday. While dense fog has been predicted in Tripura on Sunday.
