At the same time, the risk of flood has also increased in many areas. In many states where flood-like situation has happened, in many states farmers have got relief.

According to the Meteorological Department, rains may occur in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Uttarakhand till August 20. Due to this heavy rain, the temperature will drop by three to four degrees. Apart from this, between August 17 and August 18, there may be rain in the areas of Saurashtra and Kutch. At the same time, there may be rain in the areas of Goa and Konkan till the 20th.

Flood threat in the banks of the Ganges

Due to the rapid rise in the water level of Ganga Yamuna, the risk of flood in alluvial areas has increased. Till 8 o’clock last night, the water level of Ganga-Yamuna was rising at the speed of four-four centimeters per hour. In view of the possibility of increasing the water level of Ganga-Yamuna continuously for the next three-four days, the administration has intensified the preparations.

According to the Meteorological Department, a flood alert has been issued in and Mandsaur districts of Madhya Pradesh. People have been asked to exercise caution.

Flood alert in Odisha

Odisha has been receiving heavy rains for the past several days due to a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Due to which the situation of flood has arisen in 10 districts of the state. Rivers in many districts are in spate due to floods. Also, many people have become homeless due to water entering the lower level of the state. India Meteorological Department also issued yellow alert in some areas of Odisha.
